Hard Rock Cafe Dallas ‘3D SHERIFF BADGE’ Pin

This week’s installment features the 2017 Hard Rock Cafe Dallas ‘3D SHERIFF BADGE’ Pin (ID# 97416). We choose this pin to honor the Hard Rock Café Dallas that will unfortunately be closing its doors today July 29, 2019. We recently had a chance to visit the HRC in Dallas to say goodbye to the Café, Staff & local Collectors for the final time, there’s a lot of great Rock N’ Roll History in the City of Dallas & the State of Texas & we are sad to see the Café close & hope that at some point in the future Hard Rock finds a new location to raise the HRC flag once again. The Pin was purchased on our final trip to the Café & is a great addition the HRC WORLDWIDE Pin Vault – HRC Dallas you will be missed but not forgotten.

At a Glance

The Pin’s design is pure ‘TEXAS’ – It’s a rendition of the historic & legendary Texas Rangers Sheriff Badge, a fitting tribute to one of the most famous Law Dept. in our Nation. The Pin is a Bronze Circle Badge with a Star & a very intimating Skull dead center of the Pin. Similar to the original Texas Rangers Badges of the past (see the photo attached), well minus the skull, but all & all it pays tribute to the spirit of the City of Dallas, the State of Texas & the brave Texas Rangers.

Detailed Description

The pin is a bronze based metal, 3D, tack back, unpainted design – pin is a 3D Sheriff Badge, made to resemble the Texas Rangers Badge carried by Law Officers. The center has a Star with a Skull, the Hard Rock Logo is dead center of the pin, The location ‘DALLAS’ is written in a semicircle across the top of the pin, 2 smaller stars book-end the pin center left & right, 2 fig leafs on both the left & right side of the bottom of the Pin. The pin is a core release.

Until next week –remember to always …

    1. My pleasure – hope everyone enjoys the weekly ‘PIN OF THE WEEK’ article … more to come – 🙂

    2. You’re very welcome Christian, I will continue to add quality images to any & all HRC Collectible Items that become part of our Database. It’s my philosophy as a Collector, Graphic Artist & Photographer that images should be crisp and at a decent resolution, but at the same time be dramatic in their presentation. I feel the Catalog (HRC Portion) needs to be less “clinical” when it comes to the image content – it should be bold, dramatic & exciting, so that it draws people into our world of collecting.

We never had so much latitude & ability to customize our database, but with the migration to hobbyDB it’s a whole new world. We need to start understanding & take advantage of that ability. Of course we need our Cataloging tools to be robust & defined, but I look at each Photo for an entry as an opportunity to put up a piece of Graphic Art which shows the detail of the Pin, Magnet or Shot Glass, but also has a dramatic Graphic flare – everything sitting on a white or grey background is just in my humble opinion “dull”.

Thanks for the vote of confidence – Lou
