This week’s featured Pin is the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tampa ‘GASPARILLA PIRATE SKULL COMPASS’ Pin (ID # 97322). The Pin was released to celebrate a yearly Tampa Event – The Gasparilla Pirate Festival held every year at the end of Jan. The theme of the festivities is the legend of José Gaspar (also known as Gasparilla), a mythical Spanish pirate who supposedly operated in Southwest Florida from the late 1700s until the early 1800s. The main event of the festival is the Parade of Pirates, which is organized by the city of Tampa along with Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla (YMKG). We love Skulls & we love Pirate themes, so this pin was a welcome acquisition to the HRC WORLDWIDE Pin Vault.

Detailed Description
The Pin is a brass-based metal, tack back, painted design. This Pin’s design is that of a brass colored skull centered inside a navigational compass. The Festival name ‘GASPARILLA’ is written in capital letters across the top of the compass in a semi-circle. The Location & Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Logo is placed on the forehead of the skull. The year ‘2018’ is positioned at the bottom of the compass right below two crossed pirate swords. The compass is also decorated with a couple of yellow embossed guitars, a few spade & other playing card shapes, it is a Casino. This was a Limited Edition 300 release
